The Much We Know
It is such a wonderful phenomenon that as human we exist in our own worlds, with different beliefs, reasons and characters, yet in all these differences , decisions made does not only affect the maker of this decision but also the society at large. Generally, man works to be successful and well respected, either working to positively or negatively affect the society. Even that individual who does nothing at all will be successful in nothing, these things pays off on the society either consciously or unconsciously. For instance the killing of a single man in an area in a community affect everyone in that area and the whole community negatively in terms of creating of fear in the hearts of the individuals in that community and when there is provision of an essential amenity in a community which is generally positive, such community will be effected positively too, people will be happy and hopeful for more positive outcomes. The consciousness of man helps make decision in most situations, as human we are very ignorant of the happenings that will occur the next minute or actions that would be taken. For this reason some decision made in haste though conscious might be regretted or appreciated because there is a level of unconsciousness in the decision being made at that time.
Wouldn't you like to know the reasons behind the unconscious actions we take and why we think we are conscious but we are rather unconscious of our actions, speech and thought? Thoughts have always been part of the man creation and living, therefore it is inevitable for man to think and live conscious yet unconscious. Man is born naturally to think both negatively and positively, this is due to the presiding existence and knowledge of bad and good on earth. The conscious unconscious thoughts could therefore take negative or positive "turns" and such turns of thoughts might bring laurels or regrets. The definition given for the meaning of Negative and Positive thereby varies. Negative means anything that is generally considered as bad to the moral system of humanity while Positive attitude or doing means anything that add moral value to the lives of people accepted generally to be moral. Now, would there be excuse given for negative actions done by an individual? A talented youth wished only to become a great and popular writer of his time and generation beyond, but all he got were oppositions and discouragement from people around him, yet he was determined to achieve his goal. The oppositions made him rebellious and adamant to his people.  So, he started out to achieve this alone without his people support. Perhaps he would have become as popular as he wanted and dreamed if he had not done the negative way. His rebellious attitudes made him do so many negative things unconsciously which at that seemed positive and right. Smoking and drinking became next to his writing material, mayhap with believe that without it he would not inspired.   Making friends that had the same goal was outline for him. Little did he know that he was destroying his dream and his future? He ended up not becoming that great writer of his time because of negative terrible things he did unconsciously and was persecuted by them. So many youths in our type of society still faces these kinds of challenges and also take negative turns unconsciously because the encouragement needed is not there by his people or from a public counselor.  Instead, they get rebuked and dejected especially by the parents. After everything, the question of who is to be blamed for all damages done unconsciously while fighting for a goal? The negativity of parents talented should be stopped, rather guidance and support is needed to lead rightly in other to attain a particular goal.

POEM: DOWN AND OUT

Down and Out Who cares to notice the penniless? Who cares how they became ripen? Griping you to their desperate chest, So jamed and bashed crossing to beg, Limps and crawls from spot to spot. . My chest flames to such doleful pleas, Clutching hooves strolling thier way, Smokes my heart to hear them cry out, ‘‘Oh how will I succeed, Oh how do I live?” “I crave you with every breath I got in me” Old and weary, young and lanky, Resting beneath bridges for warmth,  Feasting on scrap wearing tatters, Without buddies, no family, nor us, No one seem to see or care little. Having nothing that matters to the rich, Pleased with what they receive with hope,  From break to night, twenty four seven, Lay noisy tummys by slumpy gutters, If they disappeared who cares where to? Miserable basking on side walks, Faces pale like out of oxygen for days, Targets of hunger, cold and epidemic, A smile can warm a paupers lifetime, Let them in, they knock, share your little.
