After the dismissal of 200 soldiers by the Nigerian Army at the Rukuba Barracks in Jos, Plateau state, allegedly for laxity and cowardice and their failure to capture the Sambisa Forest, a notorious hideout of the Boko Haram. According to Vanguard, one of the soldiers dismissed, a native of Ondo State, Aguloye Sunday, who confirmed the dismissal to journalists in Jos, said they were arraigned on a two-count charge of “failure to perform military duty and disobedience to standing order.” However, he said they would seek redress as the charge were false and malicious. The brave Soldier, also accused the government of providing obsolete and inadequate ammunition and weapons for the assignment.
