POEM: DARLING

Hello there, Darling. How have you been? It’s been too long since I’ve seen you, my friend. I counted the hours & dreamed of when The Universe would bring us together again. There’s so much to tell you, it could take days. But I’ve found love in so many ways. Beautiful people & stories & moments in mind, But in the end, I’ve come to find All my thoughts lead back to you, & I must confess, love, you’re my muse & for all the things I’ve been refused, I never dreamed of losing you. I regret not having let you in, but in terms of emotion, I didn’t know where to begin & despite it all, you’re still my best friend & you’ll stay that way, beyond the end. & whether we talk again or not, My heart is bound to you in lover’s knot & I’m not going anywhere, unless you ask to meet me there. & a few more things I must confess, without the tuxedo & wedding dress, for I never cared to see your ‘Sunday best,’ I will carry my love

POEM: UNFAMILIAR REAPERS

Unfamiliar Reapers Cuts deep watching reapers, Harvest and feast buoyantly, Where they did not implant. From the hands of lost sons, So desperate for possesions. Gluttony dimed their paths. ‘Nectarious’ winds became volcanic, Roasting kin trust down ashes. Toasty snuggles now scratches, Grips and strangles to slain. As reapers wear sheep skins, To embezzle the spotlight. Tearing heirs farther apart, Playing the pietist part to all. You never see them approaching. Now you are the feeble shadows, Camping beneath ocean floors, Reaping the result of your voracity. A stepping stone for the reapers, From far flung remote vicinities. google.co By Bassem Ayamore

POEM: The long Wait (PT I)

The long Wait (PT 1)   Zip my heart, Shut my brain Ignore the pain, Seize my voice Adhere not to my screams Permit the flow my eye stream Doubt my truth, Shatter my trust, In penury my life is born In despair will I live for long? Stony is this heart in my scene Alive only to write pained scripts Devastating tears clouds my brain Jealously I guard each tear drop Drenched my poor heart with life’s rain Preserved for thirst, my tears useful drop Apart am torn to mockery, In city community; forest I still dwell, For my living the tallest mounts I must climb well, Still, this poverty is termed ‘is lazy’ No longer gender discrimination, Government activities termed political degradation Foreseen was corruption Yet, leader has embraced with not thoughts to its ablution! For Decades vipers are rulers Penury and strive more for the ‘ pauvre’ Voiceless and plagued with fear of seen vultures Ready to endure the corrupt

Risk                      And then the day came, when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. By Anias Nin
