                        Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has said President Mohammadu Buhari was operating as a president of the Northern Nigeria only, describing steps taken by the president since May 29, 2015 as tainted in ethnic and tribal colouration, which is inimical to the unity of Nigeria. The governor, who descried what he called President Buhari’s “Nothernisation of Nigeria,” said “appointments made by the President so far negate the principle of federal character and it appears the unity in diversity of Nigeria is being taken for granted by the President.” According to a statement issued on Monday, by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said it was wrong for President Buhari to have made 31 major appointments and only seven will come from the South while 24 were from the North.                                             To assume that the police and Navy officials (the so called security) would be the protectors and controllers of mayhem in the society? It was reported that the IPOB Pro Biafra Members were unarmed while on their peaceful protest when the unprovoked sporadic shooting by the Navy soldiers and Police began.                                              The incident happened at the Onitsha Bridge this evening when the group on the peaceful protest stumbled into the Navy Military check point.                                             The town of Umueze, Enugwu-Achi, Oji-River Local Government Area, Enugu State, was last Monday thrown into mourning, following the death of three-year-old Akachukwu in the hands of his 14-year-old brother Ebubechukwu, who used their father’s gun to shoot him dead. The brothers were said to be re-enacting movie scenes, not knowing that the gun was loaded. According to a source, their father, Christian Odika, had left for their village square at Obodo-Ukwu Enugwu-Akwu, for a meeting, when the tragic news reached him. It was gathered that on getting to  his house, he met his son, Akachukwu, in a pool of his own blood. Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, said: “Investigations into the tragic incident have commenced to ascertain the remote causes, so the law can take its course.” Vanguard

                       The South African court today evicted residents from their homes in Johannesburg with the claim that they were meant to have evacuated July last month. The residents showed disappointment and were saddened, claiming that they were not given prior notice. Although evidence of notice was shown by the police officers representing the court and residents, but the lawyer representing the resident was displeased and disappointed law agency saying that knowing the law and understanding it would be more beneficial if applied correctly.    The people had also called to the government for support and I hope they are responded to quickly.
