The most celebrated statesman in Nigeria spoke at a farewell service in Abuja, stating that every decision has its own cost and his is no different, saying he must be ready to dance to his own music. The current situation and desertion by his loyalist to the All Progressive Party, making harsh statement at his party and leadership wasn't much of a surprise to him.
Goodluck Ebele Jonathan conceded defeat on March 31, dousing the tension in the country. Had since then been praised for his statesmanship. He encouraged himself, stating that the former South African president Frederik de Klerk was deserted by his friend and also lost his marriage for that course.
He also sent a message to the ministers who served under him to brace themselves for “persecution” following his loss and his decision to concede defeat.
