The fears of over 13,200 teachers in the state, over 400 doctors and nurses employed by the former Governor Amaechi is palpable if they fall into the category of workers adjudged to have been wrongly employed into the state civil service in Rivers state .
Governor Wike who has been given a resolution power to sack the state Civil service board by the River state house of assembly, accusing them of breaching the regulations and illegally employing workers into the state civil service.
This settlement was passed on Tuesday after the chairmanof the service commission, Mr. Ngo Martins Yellowe, was accused of not going through the proper process before employing workers to work the past three years.
Though it was opposed by Yellowe, but it that was not accepted. The Rivers state independent Electoral Commission: RSIEC was also affected and called to be questioned by the Parliament on how local elections were handled during the election. The next day RSIEC was also sacked after the governor was given the resolution and mandate that he could sack the commission.
Rivers state judiciary Service Council also suffered the same fate after they were invited to the floor as well.
