Mufutau Akuruyejo journeys to Switzerland courtesy MTNF and ORACLE





Mufutau Akuruyejo emerged the only Nigerian and African amongst 1,500 students from the world over who applied for this ‘nine weeks open lab programme’. The 500 level undergraduate in UNILAG is the first Nigerian to receive the CERN ICT training where he will participate in this scheme courtesy of MTN Foundation and Oracle.

MTNF and Oracle being passionate about boosting ICT skills in Nigerian students with the purpose of accelerating development of cutting edge solution to be used by the worldwide LHC (Large Hardon Colider) community. 
So far, over 4,900 students from Universities, Polytechnic and Colleges of Education have benefited from the MTN Foundation science and technology scholarship scheme.

Mufutau’s journey began on Saturday as he left for Switzerland for his training, hopefully he will be returning certified by Oracle

COULD I BUT SHOW YOU                 Could I but show you how a word can grow into a thorn that lodges deep within? The softest places of the hardest men, you wouldn't be so quick to let one go. In silences, defenceless and alone, security and self-esteem descend; ambitions cease and aspirations bend in the victims of a fatal verbal blow.                     If I could show you how a word can rise - bring laughter, bring excitement, bring rapport, bring nations out of poverty and war - perhaps your speech would seek a different guise. The Much We Know It is such a wonderful phenomenon that as human we exist in our own worlds, with different beliefs, reasons and characters, yet in all these differences , decisions made does not only affect the maker of this decision but also the society at large. Generally, man works to be successful and well respected, either working to positively or negatively affect the society.
