Soul Care

SOUL CARE
Service to God is an important involvement as a Christian. It helps endears the fulfillment of an individual Christian of working with and for God, initiating an understanding of God’s word idea of being a Christian. The inevitable grasp of feeling of belonging to a higher and greater call engulfs the heart at all time with intent and purpose of being ready for God. Service as the name implies means to “Serve” and to serve means “to do as being told” or “Obedience”
The willingness to comply to God’s word and commandment (Obedience) in most cases with Christian make themselves limited to some particular environment such as (church, Religious camps, Christian concert). This is because most Christian forgets that service to God is not only segregated to some places or environment but everywhere, every place and every time as long as there is breathes.
A chorister or Dramatist working for God in that talent wise might likely make excuses of not wanting to be a nuisance in the public due to their unique type of talents forgetting that the paramount commandment God gave to his children and disciples was to care for every soul by preaching his word to every living being:
Go ye into the world and preach the Gospel to every Creation(mark 16:5)
Telling people about God and his love, mercies, grace, kindness, favor and mostly his love which made him die for the whole world is required from every believer no matter the talent and service rendered in the church or religious gathering. The act of evangelizing is one that does not require education nor talent but only the fear and Spirit of God. The fear of un-acceptance and rejection by people being evangelized to should not be a bother us as believers: the Holy Spirit is always there to help us minister unto the people we are preaching to for conviction and final conversion to God.
“For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind”       2 Timothy 1:7
“But the righteous are as bold as Lion” Proverbs 28:1b
Our lord Jesus Christ assures us Boldness through the Holy Spirit so long we are his children and committed and acknowledge that preaching God’s word is paramount because it agrees to the commandment of God “replenish the earth”, instead as Christian we should also replenish and promote God’s kingdom. Evangelism is a pursuit act and a persistent pressing mission on the part of every believer which must be accomplished as its location is not designated to a particular spot or place alone.
The simplicity and levity of evangelism by most Christian is also the unrelenting strive and great pursuance of Satan and his agents to draw most believers and atheist to his kingdom using many medium and method.
“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings and; he shall stand before mean men” Proverbs 23:29
This passage of the scripture is not only applicable to believers alone, but a philosophy that is widely and considerably accepted generally.  All things being equal, this philosophy works perfectly well regardless of an individual being a believer or not. Diligence, hard work, steadfastness, persistence and consistence are basic tools for success and it is also applicable to any believer who needs to evangelize. The understanding of this philosophy has helped the agents of hell to evangelize instead about their kingdom at schools (Tertiary, Colleges), Work environment, home environment, Families, Social gathering, Social media, etc. The grace of God abound but the first step which enable believers to preach is a set and a stern mind that must evangelize, then the acceptance of the Holy Spirit by God’s grace which will tell and lead us right. The greatest manifestation a believer can ever accomplish or experience is that of converting an unbeliever to God’s kingdom, this is because heaven and God too is manifested in the converted life. Therefore, cleaning the church, singing, dramatizing, dancing, financing; all these can be used as a medium to evangelize God’s word and gospel. Our physical appearance, oddity and disposition (lifestyle) speak louder than our talks because it portrays the word and believe in God and his commandment.
“Let your light so shine before men…” math 5:16
When a Christian evangelizes to people, there is much love that is shared by that individual because our lord Jesus Christ loved us before we knew him and his obedience to his father in heaven explains how much he can forfeit to save mankind from eternal doom.
“for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him will have everlasting life” John 3:16.
The blood of Jesus which was shed on Calvary was because of his Love for all mankind and as Christian we have been commanded to also to Love our neighbor as we love ourselves, this can be done in anyway, anytime, anywhere at different places. That woman living next door might need that N500 you are confused with what to do with it. That very youth that walks by your balcony everyday might just need that little advice that you are very aware that is needed in his or her life. The greatest lover in the whole world, Jesus Christ, has given all believers grace to love and help people around us.
Laurels are meant for every successful person, God has promised believers that make preaching his gospel paramount laurels on earth and in heaven.
“The tree of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise”, Proverbs 11:30
One important gift that all Christian must have is Wisdom and Understanding to prime in all situations and life generally. Solomon asked specifically for Wisdom and Knowledge to govern his people and God blessed him more than all other kings and Kingdoms. In heaven, the bright beautiful stars shall be attached to the crowns of every evangelizing believer.
Tolu Immanuel, president of the Drama unit (Potter’s House) Professional Accountant Christian Fellowship in an interview says and I quote “soul care” is the major thing all believers should do: evangelizing, helping and showing love to as many people that comes your way daily in every way possible and honest.”
Therefore, the extent of man’s destiny is not just on his hard work or diligence on earthly things but on Service to God, his fellow man and himself and that service is “Soul Care”.
