WIBLES Summit 2015: 2nd Women In Business And Leadership Summit

















Opral Benson,Oby Ezekwesili, Agatha Amatha convene to Inspire Nigerian Women and Emerging Women Leaders at GLEEHD WIBLE Summit.

The second women in Business and Leadership summit which ran through three days from 15-17th October, 2015 was convened by GLEEHD foundation and Dream Centre and had massive support from asy Taxi, FAN Milk, Rabonni Tech, Inspiration FM, Cakes et al, Natures Gentle Touch Recare, and more

The conference which was convened to encourage women in their career and leadership pursuit was well arrayed by speaker from the career, business and political sectors of world. 

Former Vice President of World Bank, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili has said that greatness is about selfless service and not necessarily about affluence and fat banks’ accounts. She dropped this hint while delivering her lecture on the theme “Building Greatness” at the 2nd Women in Business and Leadership summit, convened by GLEEHD Foundation in Lagos, recently.

Speaking further, she observed that greatness is “the capacity to solve problems, staying true to ones purpose and values in readiness for service”.























Mrs. Agatha Amata, CEO RaveTV and Host of the talk show, “Inside Out”, advised young women not to be liability to men, just as she urged them to embrace hard work and dignity, so they can become true models of leadership in business and career.




















In another vein, the president of summit and Chairperson, Advisory Board of GLEEHD Foundation, Chief Mrs. Opral Benson advised the participants to seek for knowledge at all cost as no one is too old to learn. She said she had learnt a lot from her stay in Nigeria and pledges to continue to give support initiatives geared towards the empowerment of women and young people.






















Executive Director, GLEEHD Foundation, In his closing remarks, Mr. Dayo Israel, pledged his foundation’s continuous support towards the empowerment of women, which according to him is a vital aspect that cannot be ignored. He disclosed that the foundation is set to empower one hundred women with start up capital to run their businesses, before the end of the year.

Over 30 members of the IPOB pro Biafra shot in Onitsha city

                                            To assume that the police and Navy officials (the so called security) would be the protectors and controllers of mayhem in the society? It was reported that the IPOB Pro Biafra Members were unarmed while on their peaceful protest when the unprovoked sporadic shooting by the Navy soldiers and Police began.                                              The incident happened at the Onitsha Bridge this evening when the group on the peaceful protest stumbled into the Navy Military check point. Over 30 members were injured while 3 members died instantly out of the over 200 members on the peaceful protest.                                                        

Horrifying Story: Woman Abducted, Raped and Mudered in Benin

A 23-year-old woman, identified as Joy Ojolede Okoh, has been reportedly abducted, raped and murdered in Benin City by unidentified persons on Monday. It was reliably gathered that her body was found in the boot of an SUV at Upper Mission Extension in Benin City, southern Nigeria. The SUV was said to have been snatched by the gunmen and used for the dastardly act before it was abandoned. It was gathered that the deceased who was said to be a bread seller at Lucky Way Junction by Ramat Park, was alleged to have closed for the day’s business at about 7:30pm when she was kidnapped. Edo Police Command spokesman, DSP Stephen Onwuchei, who confirmed the incident, said the police have commenced investigation into the matter.
